Born in 1972, the Cactus Coat Rack has questioned the static and rigid world of interior design since its inception, revolutionizing the traditional furniture landscape. Designed by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello, Cactus Coat Rack is supposed to be a prickly 'cactus' but is made of pliable polyurethane and feels like an ironic totem, except that it has revolutionized the traditional furniture landscape. It has also become an important symbol of Italian design.Since its inception, the Cactus coat rack has been reprinted in a variety of colours and released in limited editions and different numbered versions. At present, it has participated in many global museum exhibitions and has become an excellent work decorated by many fashion spaces and furniture collectors.
