This wonderful antique English brass and iron footman's stool or fireplace stool has as many uses today as it did in the past! It is constructed of brass and iron, nicely weighted, and has large solid handles on both sides. The decorative cabriole legs and pierced brass artwork combine to make it a uniquely decorative accent. The patinated finish could be polished to a high luster, if desired. It is in good estate condition; it does have a slight indentation to the seat/step, as noted in the pictures. This could easily be leveled. It measures approximately 15" wide from handle to handle; 14" tall and 12.5" deep. The seat or step is approximately 12.5" square.
