A pair of hand made stool in solid wood perfect as a side table or low stool. These stools have been burnt using the Shou Sugi Ban technique. This originated in 18th Century Japan. It is a method of preserving wood by charring with fire. The resulting wood has a scorched crackled finish with a deep charcoal black color.
