Jean Prouvé designed Tabouret Métallique along with two other proposed models in metal in 1936 for the Maison d‘éducation surveillée de Saint-Maurice. The design elaborated in the Jean Prouvé studios never actually went into production, but is now being manufactured by Vitra for the first time. The underframe made of bent sheet metal exhibits structural affinities with the later Trapèze table. Tabouret Métallique is a practical stool that can also be used as a small side table. Features
