Early 18th century oak joint stool from England with a beveled edge around the top. The top is pegged and secured with hand made rose head nails to the base. The base has a hand carved apron in a nulled pattern, over hand turned and fluted legs, which are slightly splayed. The legs are joined by simple stretchers, which are also carved decorated. This is a wonderful example of quality custom craftsmanship from the 18th century. Every element has a design to elevate it to perfection.
