A little stool I inherited from a friend who brought it with her when she moved to the U.S. from Germany after WW II. It has been used as a footstool and as a child's stool, as she described it being used in a reading nook. The top is suede in dusty rose with a very light pad beneath it, held in place by aged brass upholstery studs. It is a heavy stool for it's size due to it's solid construction. The dark wooden legs and stretchers are nicely turned. It is small enough to tuck under a table to pull out when needed as a footstool or seat.
