In the 1940s Denmark designer Alvar Aalto produced his tripod stool along with other Scandinavian modern style furniture that was easy for people to pick up and move around. In the 1960s, fellow Danish designer Arne Jacobson designed his tripod “Dot” stool or side table after Aalto’s. The design is iconic and other designers have followed suit with their own version. This Dot stool or drinks table features the three bentwood curved legs and a round top. It’s stained a dark walnut-mahogany color.
