Crafted in Versailles France circa 1870 and rectangular in shape, the elegant ottoman stands on tapered legs decorated with hand carved rosette medallions at the shoulders, and ending with square feet. The bench are further embellished with an intricate curved stretcher at the bottom decorated with acanthus leaf motif in the center. The seating resting on a heavily carved apron, is upholstered with a colorful hand woven Aubusson tapestry of floral and leaf motifs in the soft green, red and beige palette. The large stool is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich gilt patinated finish.
