Very sturdy and decorative.Model after François-Honoré-Georges Jacob-Desmalter(January 6, 1770 in Paris; - August 15, 1841 in Paris)The French cabinetmaker François-Honoré-Georges Jacob-Desmalter was known for producing furniture decorated with saber motifs, particularly after Napoleon's proclamation as Emperor of the French. His firm's work, known as a supplier to the imperial court, was depicted on the throne and chairs for Napoleon I, featuring the crossed saber motif.
