Indoor - The adorable Cana Stool, designed by Pauline Deltour, adds a fun pop of colour to any room. It’s round seat is braided by hand from caña flecha, a natural material which is obtained from the eponymous palmIt takes many steps of manual labour to createthe stool’s seat. First, the caña flecha leavesare dried and the veins removed with a knifeand a piece of leather to create sturdy strips.These are then dried in the sun before they arecoloured with natural dyes. Then the artisansbraid each seat by hand. The frame of thestool is made of powder-coated steel. Just thepreparation of all the caña flecha takes threedays, while the production of each stool takesfour days.
