Antique Early American Farmhouse Painted Low Stool

Chairish

$525

This is a simple, backless, round and low antique wooden stool. Often referred to as a "milking stool" or "farm stool". It features four splayed legs with interlocking stretchers forming a triangle near the base, which adds a touch of traditional carpentry design. The stool has a heavily worn, "chippy" striated paint features a time worn finish an artistry all its own. The paint is primarily white over a natural wood of possibly pine, maple or a hardwood like elm revealing a light green to yellow undertone finish. This early 20th century stool would fit perfectly within an Early American, Primitive, Rustic European Farmhouse or Shabby Chic interiors. Although the low stool is sturdy, I personally feel it's more as a stand alone piece, or for a pile of books or to hold a beverage than for sitting. Either way, I hope you'll make it a "keeper" in your home! Please read description, size of product, and review photos carefully. If you have questions, please inquire.
