Beautiful hand carved wood stool or bench made by the Ashanti People of Ghana, West Africa. It's carved from one piece of wood and has great openwork which is a learned skill passed down over many generations. The Ashanti are also known as the Asante and they were the largest and most powerful of states formed in southern Ghana. This stool/ bench is favored by the boho chic and gypset. It can work in a myriad of settings from traditional to eclectic to modern to contemporary to tribal to Bohemian. Great in a bathroom with rolled towels, a bedroom for a book, an extra seat, in front of a wall of glass and a multitude of other ideas. We have another unique hand carved stool by this tribe here on our Chairish storefront sold separately, please shop our Chairish storefront.
