A nice pair of C19th mahogany veneer Karl Johan stools. Their four curved sabre legs support an oval upholstered deep seat which has over time been upholstered in traditional Damask fabric, complementing it classical appearance. These stools would blend well with both a traditional and transitional interior. Provenance Rinman family Sven Rinman was a Swedish chemist & mineralogist who discovered the pigment Colbalt green . His son Carl was very influential on mining & steel production in Sweden. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
