Traditional Nupe stool from early 20th C. Most Nupe art is abstract without any images of people and/or animals, which makes their art and furniture distinctive, compared to several other types of African tribal art and furniture. This stool is supported on 10 legs and is stable and in great condition for age. Carved from a single block of wood, and with lovely aged patina.
