He engages in design both in the industrial and artisanal realms, striving to bring forth and incorporate the hidden connections between the concept, the context, and the people in the physical manifestation of the object. This integrated process, in which every occurrence is not random, rejects randomness. In 2017, he founded the brand lapiegaWD , as a direct and unmediated design initiative. This brand represents an ever-evolving synthesis of his research on materials, processes, forms, and relationships. In 2023, he founded EDIZIONI ENRICO GIROTTI, a platform to freely experiment with techniques, craftsmanship, and design, creating small series, uniquely numbered pieces, and advanced customizations of lapiega products, as well as pre-series.
