Cees Braakman spent his formative years inside the Pastoe factory — his father ran it — before becoming the company's head designer in 1945 and holding that post for more than three decades. The KM05 is from 1958, the same period Braakman produced his SM05 wire chair, one of the first seating designs entirely from steel wire. The stool distills that same logic: a slender wire-steel frame, barely there, with a slightly curved seat woven from the same material. Available in powder-coated black or chrome.
