This Large Bamileke Throne/Table/Stool is an extraordinary, intricately hand-crafted piece of artwork made by the Bamileke people of Cameroon. The wood is covered with intricately embroidered polychrome glass beads, cowrie shells, and features an openwork base with snakes for protection. Despite minor losses in some areas, the overall condition of the stool is very good. At a height of 21" and a diameter of 25", this piece is a must-have for any collection or home décor. Historically, these beaded stools were considered the King's privilege.
