Some of the world’s best designs take inspiration from nature. Take the KON stool from Lemnos, for example. Designed by Mikiya Kobayashi, this stool references the roots of a tree with its four angled legs. The name translates to “root” in Japanese, giving the impression of sitting on a tree stump that provides perfect stability thanks to the tubular supports.
