This a wonderful example of a Chinese export pair of small Brown Glaze and Blue & White Garden Seats. This brown glaze is also called " Cafe au Lait". This pair is all hand painted, each panel is different. This Brown glaze was traditionally used to contrast with the under-glazed blue & white panels, that showcase landscape, florals and figural scenes. These are smaller than the usual garden seats, they are 15" h. Very good antique condition, consistent with age and use, no chips or repairs.
