Inspired by classical Greek architecture, the Athens stool uses only two different elements. Made of solid wood, the geometry of the stool comes as a result of its assembly method - three simple 'folds' of the same angle. Put together using a groove joint, they brace the stool in every direction and create a seat. This elementary structural principle defines the pure geometric nature of the stool and culminates in a lasting piece with a strong and yet understated presence. In all we do, we celebrate the beauty of the handmade - artisan-created pieces that foreground technical skill, and showcase the nature and quality of the materials we use. In our furniture making, the idea is to create special pieces that you can build a space around, whose designs highlight rather than overshadow the surface itself. As a result, simple lines that demonstrate craft is one of our core considerations. Also available in oiled oak, oiled blackened irokoDesigned by Leonard Kadid for LemonLeonard KadidLéonard Kadid is a French architect and product designer based in Paris.
