ANDEAN primarily utilizes thick, natural Ecuadorian leather, carefully selecting the finest cowhides for our furniture and home décor. The SITIERA_01 stool and side table represent an effort to maximize material use. Through this exploration, we created a tribute to the Condor, our national symbol, by incorporating feather-like leather accents. This design maintains the visual language of Ecuadorian iconography while adding animalistic elements to the anthropomorphized sculptural piece.Alejandro MoyanoFounder & DesignerAlejandro’s focus is on developing social design projects that mark an immediate difference in contemporary issues. By having a familial background in Medicine and by being born in a developing country, his main objective is to reach solutions that directly impact an overlooked demographic.
