101 Copenhagen's collection grows with the addition of the 'Tribu' stool, a rich coffee hued seat that is designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, and inspired by tribal sculptures. Like the collection it is taken from, the piece is defined by a subtle balance between sharp architectural lines, seen vertically in stool's fiber concrete base, and the soft, gentle forms that appear on the upholstered seat. The result is a hand-painted furniture piece characterized by sharp contrasts — black and white, soft and hard, smooth and textured — and easy balance.
