My parents received this picnic basket as a gift in 1957. Unfortunately, the plastic dishes and metal cutlery and utensils are long gone; however, this is in fairly good condition for its age, and would make a wonderfully decorative storage piece. One of the slats on the bottom is in need of some reinforcement; other than that is in good vintage condition. A coat of urethane was applied to the entire exterior in the 1980s; other than that, nothing has been done to it. The Jerywil brand was fairly popular in the 1940s and 1950s.
