A beautiful and very well made antique Edwardian piano duet stool. This was made in England, it dates from the 1890-1910 period. The quality is excellent this has a gorgeous and very useful design. Designed for duets at a piano, this is very useful as a storage bench for an entry way, window seat or even at the foot of a bed. There are beautiful satinwood inlay designs on all sides, the front and back are finished identically, so it can be used as a free standing item. The upholstered seat lifts up to reveal a useful storage compartment, this has spade feet and an H framed stretchered base for extra strength. We have had this re-polished and the seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age, with just some minor wear beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
