Mid-Century Danish Teak Hall Bench By Bornholm Møbelfabrik, 1960s

Chairish

$1,322

Original Danish hall bench from the 1960s, produced by Bornholm Møbelfabrik. This piece features clean lines and a restrained, functional design that fits seamlessly into a Scandinavian-style interior. Crafted in teak veneer, the bench has a solid and sturdy feel with a relatively heavy build, making it stable and reliable in everyday use. It is perfectly suited for an entryway, offering a practical place to sit while putting on shoes, but also works well in other areas of the home where a compact bench is useful. Originally designed as a telephone bench, it includes a drawer with an open compartment beneath, providing convenient storage space. The seat can be complemented with a cushion, making it more comfortable while adding a warm and inviting touch. A beautiful combination of simplicity, functionality, and timeless Danish design. Condition: Good vintage condition , with some visible signs of age and use. There are scratches and wear on the top and drawer, along with some minor veneer loss at the bottom back. Overall, these imperfections are consistent with its age and add to its character (please see photos for details). Dimensions: Height: 63 cm (24.8 inches) Depth: 41 cm (16.1 inches) Width: 90.5 cm (35.6 inches) This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
