Solid wood hope chest with warm grain and a straightforward, functional build. Clean lines with a slightly raised base, mounted on casters for easy movement. Original hardware gives it a grounded, utilitarian feel. Features a Yale lock (marked) and includes the original key. Front pull intact. One side handle is broken off as shown. Interior has a later-added liner that was installed roughly and is torn in areas. The lid is constructed from two boards with a center seam that is not perfectly flush. The top has a gentle, intentional grade across the surface, giving it a subtle profile rather than a perfectly flat plane. Good overall structure. Presents well and functions as intended.
