Early 18th century oak blanket chest from England. the top has three panels, surrounded by a frame with a beveled edge. The front of the case has four panels which have hand carved designs. There is a carved panel above the four panels and the panels are flanked by hand-carved designs on the front legs. The sides of the case are simple panels, for a lovely profile from any view. This is a wonderful example of early 18th century craftsmanship, and would be an amazing addition to any collection.
