Fine antique 18th century English Georgian fruitwood melon form tea caddy. Pleasing color and patina with old green and brown mottled surface featuring a steel lock, hinge and escutcheon. Melon tea caddies are the rarest and most sought after of the fruit tea caddies. Measures 5 1/2" tall x 4 5/8" across. Good condition - old age crack on the lid, no key.
