Stunningly beautiful, perfectly patina-ed, late 18th century/Jacobean chest. Likely walnut, the front has intricate carvings - a long frieze of S curves over three inset panels with similar S curves and foliage and an apron. Top is constructed with planks and opens. A key escutcheon appears in the center of the frieze (no key). The stiles flanking the panels continue to straight legs. An absolutely gorgeous piece. 50.25 inches by 21.25 inches by 28 inches
