Absolutely stunning handcrafted antique Chinese traveling dowry trunk on wheels. Large wood trunk with flat lid, carved detail to bottom, pierced brass hardware throughout and chunky metal handles to either side. The front of the trunk features beautiful "relief" carvings of scrolls and florals. Ample storage inside with separate smaller "lidded" compartments to each side. Estimated early 19th century. Gorgeous patina to wood and brass. Very solid. Some separation to boards of lid (shown) do not impact integrity. Wheels are technically functional but do not recommend using them to move.
