This chest is a handwoven wicker rattan with a brass lock and handles. The brass is beautifully engraved with an Asian bird motif. There are some minimal blemishes, such as a couple of cracked/bent rattan reeds, some worn paint spots, and the brass could use a shine, but only things that are consistent with the age of the piece. Overall, it is in great shape and strong and sturdy.
