The scion of a multigenerational silver smithy, as a company name, “Mappin &Webb” dates to 1868 and it continued in various iterations with later family descendants until the mid 20th century. This piece stylistically dates ca. 1900- 1920, with extensive use of the thistle garland motif and an engraved cartouche containing the Initials “RA.” Good antique condition, polished, normal light surface wear, light patina, slight undulation to the inter front bottom rim.
