This very fine, large Louis Vuitton trunk from the late 19th century is rare and highly sought after. It features a beautiful woven monogram canvas, silver-plated metal trim with Vuitton-stamped brass studs, reinforced by wooden slats, and large silver-plated steel handles at each end. The handles are also stamped Louis Vuitton. The woven canvas has a warm and inviting appearance thanks to its age-worn patina. The solid brass main lock, along with the brass studs, is stamped Louis Vuitton. The lock number is also stamped. This magnificent Vuitton trunk also features numerous travel labels and hand-painted personalized bands. These details make this Vuitton trunk truly unique. The interior was partially relined some time ago and retains its original padding under the lid. It also retains its original brand label on the inside of the lid, which reads "Louis Vuitton I. Rue Scribe Paris, 149 New Bond Style London," along with its serial number. The interior features a removable tray. It can be used as a coffee table, side table, or blanket chest, adding a touch of elegance to any interior. It comes with a working key.
