Two door cabinet 400 Series in patchwork burl and chrome with a lacquered Ivory colored top by Paul Evans for Directional Furniture, 1973. This series is characterized by special hinges incorporated in the design of the piece. A rare and special piece. It is unmarked but well documented-Reference: Paul Evans Design & Sculpture by Jeffrey Head, Schiffer 2012, p. 117 depicts this series and discusses its production. In very good condition with light wear to the front edge and two blemishes on the back left of top, it measures 52 1/2 X 20 1/4 X 32"h.
