Bright, Clean and Crisp 18th C. Storage / Grain / Sugar Chest or Bin. Taller than most with exceptional details - bid strong bun feet and base, huge dovetailed edges, and iron handles. 40" tall 27.5" deep 26" wide. Crisp inside, with a copper chain to hold top and base. Likely North Carolina provenance, and likely cleaned over time - but kept very well. In keeping with Aesop's fable, Fox and Crow's Motto is "Beware of False Flattery!" So, with each listing we offer a true confession about the item... This piece is awesome! North Carolina 19th C. provenance, unusual tall size, big gorgeous details, and very clean. And, it has been finished to be bright and clear, which brings out all the oranges and tans and reds in the wood grain. We recently positioned it as a pedestal for a large vertical piece of folk art, and also tried it as a corner table with a piece of glass atop and a tall lamp. Entry hall or wide corner would be a win as well. It's a winner!
