An unusual small antique Chinese Northern country-style recessed cabinet/sideboard with two drawers and two side-opening doors to the main compartment, a removable shelf inside the storage, overall decorated with deep reddish-brown lacquer and unique hand-cut brass hardware, simple and elegant style, well-balanced structure, late 19th century, late Qing Dynasty, Hebei Province, in overall good condition with wear and marks commensurate with the age and use, some early restorations, originally acquired in Beijing Yumu (northern elm) and Shanmu (Chinese fir) 33 in. wide, 15 3/4 in. deep, 29 3/4 in. high
