19th Century Louis Xv St. Kingwood And Rouge Royal Marble Cabinets

A stunning and wonderfully decorative pair of French late 19th century Louis XV st. Kingwood and Rouge Royal marble cabinets. Each his and hers cabinet with its original hardware is raised on four small scale cabriole legs. The two front legs are decorated by pierced foliate Ormolu sabots while the two back legs are left smooth. The two front doors open to reveal three adjustable shelves with a wonderful consistent finish. Each door has two original hinges on the top and bottom and is tastefully decorated with exceptional parquetry. The doors have centrally located Ormolu keyhole escutcheons decorated with foliate designs. Both sides of each cabinet have similar designs as the two front doors. The top front corners display pierced Ormolu ornaments of scrolling foliate designs. Above are the impressive Rouge Royal marble tops with mottled edges and following the shape of each cabinet.
