19th century burr walnut pedestal cupboard circa 1870 Stunning pedestal cupboard which are becoming increasingly rare to find, made in burr walnut with ebony stringing. Shaped like a column, these type of cupboards would be used to display a bust or floral arrangement on top and providing storage inside with the means of 2 shelves and a slot rack.  Our example has been made in walnut with burr and ebony strung panels to the front, beaded and molding detailing.  Working lock and key, all raised on a plinth BASE. Recently re-polished by hand in our workshop and maintaining it's original colour.  1 area of restoration to the bottom of the door (photographed) which has been done to a high standard.  Minor surface marks to woodwork in LINE with age and use.
