The richly figured camphor timber has developed a beautiful warm patina over time, complemented by the original brass strapping and hardware. The exceptional quality of the timber, combined with its rich coloring and striking grain, gives the piece remarkable presence while making it an increasingly rare and desirable example. Originally used as a traveling trunk by British military officers, this campaign trunk is as practical as it is beautiful.
