A splendid large oak haberdashery shop counter from a department store in northern france. The generous single plank top exhibits excellent colour and grain throughout with a hollow section beneath that houses two small drawers used for clerical use within the store. Beneath are six smooth running wide oak drawers with oak panelled linings that are complemented with the original iron work cup handles to each. The front of the cabinet is made up of four panelled sections with matching sides raised on a peripheral plinth base. This beautiful cabinet would make a great kitchen island or side board with plenty of space in the spacious frieze drawers. Exceptional in every way.
