The doors are made of two mirrored parts, split from the same piece of wood for a symmetrical grain drawing, and reinforced with cling crafted with traditional hand-shaved sliding swallowtails. The clamps flow into the hinged part that rests in the hull on a hardwood pin and rotates, purely on friction and gravity. By means of the locks with sliding swallowtails, these are removable.
