A two section Japanese Futon Dansu bedding chest from the Meiji Period (1870-1880) made of Japanese Hinoki - Cypress Wood. It comes from the Nara Prefecture on the Honshu Island. The chest on chest was used to store futon bedding and linens. Comes with a certification from the Nakura Tansu Galley. Top - H: 34.75" x W: 24" x L: 71.25". Bottom - H: 29.5" x W: 24" x L: 71.25".
