This listing is for an antique Korean elmwood chest. This chest/cabinet dates to the late Chosŏn period (late 19th century). The design consists of a traditional pattern of paneled wood and metal accents. This style of cabinetry is called "nong" in Korean. This piece was made with 2 main doors and 4 small drawers on top. One drawer has gone missing over the years and the space appears to have been boarded up. The chest was imported from Seoul in 2012.
