I purchased this beautiful Tansu in 1996 in Los Angeles and used it to house my large television. Later, when tv's became flat, the Tansu became a hallway piece for storage, then a cabinet in my dining room and later a wardrobe in a bedroom. The upper shelf on the left side was removed for the large and deep tv's that we all used to have. The Tansu can hold a ton of items from linens to dishes, clothing etc...
