Walnut cabinet made by hand and featuring shoji doors and shelves. This cabinet is constructed utilizing time honored joinery techniques featured in Japanese temple carpentry in addition it features shoji made utilizing those same traditional joinery techniques. The result is a cabinet that will serve you for many years to come.The shoji doors are backed with mulberry paper, the traditional paper used in shoji construction. This breathable material will allow the cabinet to circulate air while providing privacy to the storage space.The interior of this cabinet can be customized to suit your specific needs, it is shown in a customized format but is typically available with two shelves. The shelves have adjustable heights and wire pass throughs can be provided if necessary. I cut the wire pass throughs in only when requested so that the cabinet can be used as a room divider without visible pass throughs.Customizations are available including length and material. The legs are shown in gaboon ebony which is available at additional cost. The standard leg material choice would be walnut, which can be ebonized if so desired, or left plain.
