Six Watch Box Made From Solid 3000-5000 Year-Old Bog-Oak

Collection Nr3, six watch box made from hardened glass and a solid bog-oak wood frame. Detailed with brass finger joints and hinges. Each product houses, three, six or ten watches at a time. They have plump cotton pillows to hold your watch collection in place. The wood we have selected for this project is an indigenous, bog oak from the north of Cambridgeshire. This wood is thousands of years old, with some pieces dating back to 3000 B.C. Submerged in anaerobic conditions the oak reacts with the minerals and acids in the soil to develop its stunning character and unique colouration. Our boxes are constructed using solid bog oak with traditional horn finger joints as the detail. They are then treated with light Danish oil, enhancing the natural hue of the wood.
