Made in Oregon, each tray is shaped by hand, intricately painted by hand with multiple underglazes, provided with a durable lead-free clear glaze, and fired multiple times for a strong, permanent finish. The Blackbird motif features rich black and white glazes hand-painted atop the natural red-russet color of the terra cotta clay. With its clean, glossy glaze the design combines contemporary styling with old world charm. Heavy and substantial, the countertop jar stands 8.5" and holds up to 4 and 1/2 cups (36 oz) - ideal for storing coffee, sugar, seeds, and more. The handsome canister includes a companion scooping spoon, also handmade in Oregon. Cast in solid pewter, the scoop has a 1 tablespoon volume. The canister made with lead-free glazes and safe for use in the dishwasher. Note : Each canister is made one-at-a-time.
