Carabottino is a collection made of a clever play of textures andtransparencies, that makes these objects the centerpiece of any environment. Astorage unit, a mirror or a table that establishes a dialogue between inside andoutside.A wooden grating in a two-dimensional form traditionally made with woodenslats, carabottino is considered to be an accessory element of relativeimportance, similar to window and door frames, an architectural componentthat is not perceived as an object in itself, there are no carabottino objectsor carabottinos that have become objects. Its graphic appearance, a consequenceof its construction logic, makes it recognisable and punctuated by verticaland horizontal intersections; the interplay of full and empty spaces, of imagesthat overlap and are filtered through their weave makes them vibrant,as if they were moving paintings.Design by Cara\Davide for Medulum
