An icon with an aptitude for versatility and functionality designed in 1927 by Charlotte Perriand for her Paris atelier in Place Saint Sulpice . The design was first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1928 and then at the Salon d'Automne in 1929, and is now part of the Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret ®, Charlotte Perriand ® Collection. The swivel armchair features backrest and seat cushion padded in polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, with lea ther or fabric upholstery. The padding was developed using circular materials: recycled PET wadding and, for the foam parts, polyurethane with a percent age of polyols derived from biological sources.
