Comfort comes full circle in the Soffi Swivel Chair (2023), the first upholstery design by Gabriel Tan. With an eye to balancing sleek and soft, Tan took inspiration from the friendly, expressive shapes of inflatable furniture from the ’60s and ’70s, but in a luxe reinterpretation. “I wanted to design something soft and voluminous that gives an emotional feeling of comfort and protection,” says the designer.
